Twenty Years in the Lecong Steel Trade
Guangdong Zhengyao Steel Materials Co., Ltd. (ZHENGYAO STEEL) is based at B2 Area, Nanqi Road 02A, Lecong Steel World, Shunde, Foshan — one of the largest steel distribution hubs in South China.
We supply steel tube, section steel and steel plate to contractors, steel structure fabricators and metalworking shops in China, and export to buyers in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia. Because our stall sits on the same street as the mills and stockholders, specifications are checked quickly and prices come back the same day.
Cutting, drilling, bending, galvanizing and export packing are all handled before the container is sealed, with mill test certificates issued on request.

Frequently Asked Questions
The questions buyers ask most before placing an export order.
What is your minimum order quantity?
We do not set a strict minimum, but steel is priced by the tonne and freight favours full loads: a 20 ft container holds about 21–22 tonnes and a 40 ft high cube about 26 tonnes. Consolidated orders are welcome.
How fast can I get a quotation?
Send the sizes, steel grade, quantity and destination port, and we return the quotation, total weight and lead time within 1 working day.
What is the wall thickness tolerance?
Under EN 10219 the wall tolerance is normally ±10%; ASTM A500 uses a −10% minus tolerance. The purchase order should state which standard governs inspection, and whether settlement is on theoretical weight or on a weighbridge.
Can you cut steel to my drawing?
Yes. Saw cutting holds ±1 mm and laser tube cutting ±0.2 mm. Send a drawing, an Excel cutting list or even a photo — the parts arrive bundled and numbered to your list.
Do you provide mill test certificates?
Yes — EN 10204 3.1 or 2.2 mill test certificates, plus a coating report for hot dip galvanized material.
How are the goods packed for export?
Bundled with steel straps, marked and rust protected, with wood dunnage fumigated to ISPM 15. Loading photos, container and seal numbers are sent to you after loading.
Which ports do you ship from?
FOB Nansha or Shekou, Guangdong. Hong Kong is usually delivered by truck in 1–2 days door to door.
What are your payment terms?
Normally 30% deposit with the balance against a copy bill of lading or before arrival, or settled container by container.

Why 6 m Lengths Do Not Fit a 20 ft Container
A 20 ft box has an internal length of about 5.89 m, so 6 m stock must be cut to 5.8 m or to drawing lengths before packing.
Galvanize After Cutting, Never Before
Holes and cuts made after galvanizing expose bare steel at the cut edge, and no coating repair fully restores it.
Weight, Not Volume, Fills the Container
Steel is dense: a 40 ft high cube tops out around 26 tonnes long before it looks full. Plan the tonnage, not the space.
Buying Steel Tube: Wall Tolerance & Weighbridge Settlement
Chinese standards allow a −10% wall thickness tolerance on welded tubes. Fix the inspection standard and the settlement method — theoretical weight or weighbridge — before you sign, and the invoice will match the goods.
Q235B vs Q355B: Which Steel Grade Do You Need?
Q235B (≈S235JR / ASTM A36) covers general structures and furniture frames; Q355B (≈S355JR) adds yield strength for racking, trailers and load-bearing beams — at roughly 5–8% higher cost per tonne.
RHS, SHS or CHS? Choosing Tube for Racking & Frames
Rectangular tube gives the best bending efficiency per kilo for beams, square tube suits columns and uprights, round pipe wins where welds run in every direction. Choose by load path, not by habit.
